Post Insurance Celebrates 30 Years in Port St. Lucie, FL

An Open House Celebration is being held later this month when they’ll be sharing some new and wonderful surprises with the community.

 

Owner/President, Kathy Post, grew up in the agency, learning the business from her father and agency founder, Bob Post. "We firmly believe," she said, "that insurance is meant to restore lives. Post, together with her sister Rebecca Post O’Brien, proudly carry on the family legacy – and still welcome advice from their father.

Bob Post says the similarities between the financial climate when Post Insurance began and today are positively eerie. "Back then, Port St. Lucie was a small, bedroom community and the construction and housing markets were booming," he said, "much as they were in the early 2000’s. Then, the recession of the 1980’s hit and we saw a near collapse of our local construction industry, which sent a ripple effect through our economy just as we’re experiencing today."

While other businesses have come and gone, Post Insurance endures because they learned early to adapt to changes in the industry and the economy. Reflecting on the changes they’ve seen over 30 years, Post says that the best part of her day still comes from sitting down face-to-face with a client. "I had a client whose home caught fire the day after Thanksgiving," she said. "Helping her family and others like them get back on their feet is why we’re in this business."
