Yes! I want you to sign me up for a Wind Mitigation Inspection. What do I need to do?
Our agency will submit the request online for you. Just tell us:
- the year your house was built
- your property address
- your contact phone number and email address

You are responsible for the cost of the inspection and payment is made directly to the inspector at the time the inspection is completed.

The inspection process is simple:

1. We'll submit the request on your behalf. You'll get an email confirmation directly to your email address that the request was received.

2. Within 2-3 weeks, the inspector will call you personally to arrange the date/time to come to your house and conduct the inspection. At least one homeowner needs to be there to meet them. The inspection takes about 1 hour. They'll need access to your attic (to check the construction of your roof).

3. After the inspection is complete, they'll review their findings with you. Most inspectors give you a copy of their rmitigation inspection form before they leave. If not, they must mail the report to you within 10 days.

4. When you receive the mitigation inspection form, give a copy of that form to your insurance agent or send it directly to your insurance company.

5. Your insurance company will review and respond to you within 30 days (most are 2 weeks) the impact of the mitigation form on your insurance premiums. If you're eligible for discounts, you'll either get a credit or a refund depending on how you pay your insurance and when your renewal is.

6. There is no guarantee you will receive any discounts. However, many of our customers have experienced substantial discounts ranging from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars.

7. The discounts are re-applied every year. It is NOT just a one-time reduction in your premium.

8. The form is good for 5 years regardless of your insurance company. Even if you change insurance companies within that 5 year period, you should still give that form to your insurance agent so you can receive the wind mitigation discounts from your new company.
